News Post: Monday, July 21, 2008 : Black (Temple) Sunday By Arthurdents
Sunday we went to BT and yet again prevailed over the one with club hand and the "tall" one, i replaced Nog who was not feeling well and then i personally killed them both the first time, excellent job on supermus with hardly anybody dieing because of volcanoes.

Ripse got a new chest and Whurin got a ring, there where some nice tanking bracers from the first boss and a ring but i cant remember who got them.

News Post: Thursday, July 17, 2008 : Kael's Keep ! By Darkforge
Tonight we took a strong raid into TK, and started well, clearing A'lar on the second try and Solaroin also on the second attempt (someone suicide bombed us :p). Then we had some buggy trash leading to some annoying wipes on the way to VR, and then another weird agro bug on our first try, but we soon reset and broke VR into scrap metal at the next attempt \o/. He is now communicating with our boss mods again, so that made things a little less complex.
Thanks to Arthur for carrying on for the un-well Taveners, feel better soon mate.

Gratz to all loot winners, I believe only two items went to the disenchanter :)

News Post: Monday, July 14, 2008 : A trip down Black Temple By Zoiby
Another Monday, another high end raid took place in the realm of Al'akir. We decided on Black Temple, as its a lovely place.. lots of nice scenery, shame that some of the walls need polyfiller. Anyways, in we went, as swiftly went to the first boss. We decided to wipe the first try.. to help show the new people in the raid how not to do it... you know how it is. Second try we downed him, and more lovely shards went into the vault (in all seriousness, I have completely forgot who got what again).

Anyway, with Pkaltair being pushed front and centre, we went into the nice courtyard full of trash. After a little arguement to see if a paladin could take all the trash in one go, we took the easy route, and did one pack at a time. It was at this time in the raid when Pktillion (see below for his interview.. and his claim to fame) and Nog starting giggling to each other. Rumour has it they are an item... another rumour has it they are planning world domination, just like Pinky and the brain. Either way, it didnt put us off, and we made our way to Supremus. Again, after 2 wipes to help show people how its not done, and some careless placements of volcanos (I mean, who builds a path with molten lava?!?) we downed him. More shouts of "poo loot" could be heard over ts, but some mugs bid on them, so at least someone was happy.

Finally, we made our way to Shade. On our way into the room, we heard a scream of geek joy as sniper FINALLY saw paladin loot. As a result, Pkaltair got a nice shiny shield. We entered the room only to see the fattest looking stealther you will ever see in WoW. Seriously, even Leo the blind would be able to see him. Anyway, we gave shade a couple of goes.. but he does need some practice. Down to 88%, so progress was made again this week, so not a bad raid at all.

Well done to Emp for raid leading, and mindlash for his expertise at Shade.

News Post: Monday, July 14, 2008 : An Interview With Pktilion By Nichgoul
Stuart(aka Pktilion) is 23 and currently lives in Kings Lynn, Pktilion is one of the Paladin Class Leaders, along with Itchibruni and Lazkir. He is widely regarded as one of the best healers in the guild, and recently recieved the award Raider Of The Month, for his outstanding conribution to raids. He can be regularly found near the Aldor Rise, and outside the Aldor bank when he in shatt.

How did you come across PK, and in what game where you playing at the time?
I came across PK from Godshammer who is an fps player and got me into bf2.

So, what was it that got you interested in WoW in the 1st place, and what made you choose a paladin as your main character over the other classes?
I got interested in WoW first of all because fps was getting boring and wanted to try something new so i decided to have a go at the trial and found myself liking it alot.
I chose a pally because um...well i dont really know why just decided to choose a pally lol.

Why did you choose to be holy spec rather than retribution or protection, and do you ever regret your choice to be a healer?
I chose to be holy spec because to be perfectly honest i had no idea what talents were when i first started so just picked holy and realised i liked healing alot.

You have many nicknames inside WoW, Sniper, Tilion, Tilly, Pktilion etc, which of these do you prefer and why?
I prefer Tilly as a nickname as it's what most ppl know me as and because now i'm named after a dog!

Whats your favourite place in WoW, and what draws you to it over other places? And which boss fight would you say you enjoy playing most?
My favourite place i would have to say is the top of aldor rise, idk why leave me alone tbh i really dont know which fight i enjoy the most - i enjoy most bosses we do, just dont like
it when we wipe!

Well thank you for taking the time to talk Pktilion

News Post: Thursday, July 10, 2008 : Snakeshire Cave :o By Darkforge
The raid started on time, and we stormed through all the trash and lurker with barely a scratch ! (People attributed this lack of dying to the absence of a certain player... >.> :p) Then we were onto Leo with only an hour and 20mins gone \o/ Leo gave us a nasty 1% wipe, but we then fought back with one of the cleanest kills ever, good job guys :) After some hairy FLK pulls, and some re-assigning of the healers, we finished him off (killed him,.. filthy mind !) We then had half an hour to get Morogrim down, and we did with a little bit of over-time.

Gratz to all who won lewts, a good nights raiding ^_^
News Post: Sunday, July 6, 2008 : Paladins just wanna have fun By Zoiby
Tonight we went to Black Temple. After last weeks introduction, we realised that the clergy would not be welcoming. Anyway, we made our way to the first boss, but this time, we healers had a plan. Firstly, we watched zak die, and then commenced healing. Sadly, during the first try, we lost too many people in a freak spine accident, which involved many deaths and a healing frenzie. We would not be denied, and came straight back and stabbed him in the face. Much "woooo" and "yeeey" could be heard over TS, until we saw the drops. The hunters got very excited (well, from what we could tell) and got their new hands and axe... I know, who used an axe in 2008?!?

With a glow in our faces, and holding out noses, we made out way up a 'pipe of green stuff' to encounter what can only be said as a large open room, with lots of trash. And I do mean, LOTS OF TRASH. At the end of this room, we saw the smallest of bosses, only 100 feet high, and with gas issues. We made our way through the trash, and finally said hello to Supremus. With some banter about his size, and the little notion about 'size doesn't matter', we took him on. Sadly, during our first try, we realised that he likes gnomes. Infact, he likes Emp so much, he followed him too the other end of the room, and splat him over the door. Needless to say, we all laughed, and died.. in that order. We werent downhearted, and with less running around, and more volcano dodging, we DOWNED HIM. Yes, thats right folks, we downed 2 bosses in BT.

The fun hadnt stopped there, as we went back to the portal guy and said hello to the vendors in the instance. I was tempted to not name names in this part of the news, but I decided against, if not only to give people the right to send their repair bills to the correct people :P

Our lovely paladins (lazkir and Tillion) decided to do what they do both. Yes, thats right, they pulled a room, bubbled, then hearthed. Emp managed to get a portal up... TO THERAMORE! Much hilarity was had over TS, particular as yours truly died. Repair bills on their way, but nevertheless a quality raid. Thanks to all that attended, and get ready for MH tommorrow!

News Post: Sunday, July 6, 2008 : MODS Update By Jackolas

MODS UPDATE
So what has been updated:

1) The biggest update is in the ItemDKP mod for PK. I worked 3 days to improve the mod on several points. But probely u will only find 2.
The first update is that the Mod finaly works with atlas loot.... Yes, from now on u can see the dkp in the atlas loot links so u can plan ahead how much dkp u need:P
The seccond update is that there have been added special rules at some items. You can think of the epic gems and crafting recipes. Will make it a lot easyer in raids when they drop.

2) The guildpack is updated... well only omen is updated

3) Raidtracker is also updated.... the nasty bug suld be gone... if not i also uploaded a alpha version but use is at ure own risk

4) there are 3 mods atm still broken. the guildbank mod, SW_stats, and NaturCombatTimers.

-The guildbank mod will be updated soon but to add all the prices of all the items is a freaking hard and painfull job.
-SW_stats is broken for some peep and not for otheres.. but since we have the "WWS Raid Stats" this mod is no longer needed.. so it probely won't be updated anymore. will see if i can replace it with a other usefull mod
- NaturCombatTimers is bugged for good. the mod died and it will take to much time to repair it myself. so this mod is gone be replaced... i'm testing still some mods but this will soon be updated

Thats all folks... hope u like the new updates

Jackolas out.
News Post: Monday, June 30, 2008 : Black Temple By Zoiby
Tonight we decided to go to Black Temple. We werent impressed that we were ushered through a crack in the wall, nor the lack of monks.

Anyway, in we went, and with Selis back running us through the trash, we got to the first boss. Well, after some problems, we got him down to 15%, and reasoned that we had the tactics down. Unfortunately the trash respawned, and so we started polishing them off once again. S

adly, we got stuck on some of 'the most annoying trash' (Quote from selis), so we only managed one more try on the boss. Once again, got him down to 15% before he enraged, but was a very good try, and we are learning the encounters now. Next time he goes down.

News Post: Sunday, June 29, 2008 : Pit commander DOWN By theemperor
A 1st for PK kill as the Pit commander out side the dark portal is killed by 5 brave heroes and zoiby, so for an unknown reason (most likely boredom) we went to kill him. On our 1st attempt Nog was saying how he hits like a girl...next thing he was flat on his back, we found out then he had an aoe that did 50k of dmg. BUT never fear we came up with a plan, to just move him as we kill him: D (ingenious no?) So as Nog tanked him in reverse he could not see were he was going and told us to tell him were a safe place is to go...unfortunately he did not fall for us to tell him to were he would fall of the world. He did go down and he had some IMBA EPIC LOOT!!!

Ok, he had no loot :(
